If you are building a house the first place you would start is the design, next would be the building materials. This is the building material of the open source community. 

Made from high quality 6063 T-5 aluminum this special profile has the added feature of a small landing that, when used with OpenBuilds V-slot wheels, provides amazing linear motion abilities. Smooth travel along with the ability to fasten all the require peripherals to it makes this a perfect building material for CNCs and 3D printers. 

The openbuild product family allows one to attach motors, pulleys, build plates, and other pieces of structure with amazing ease.

Cut - To - Length:

  • At check out you will be able to add a note, please add your cuts and lengths at that time.
  • The extrusion will be cut to length and both ends squared. 
  • Please only specify cut lengths in whole millimeter numbers, i.e. 349mm.
  • Tolerances of +/- 1mm of your desired cut length can be found, we will cut to your specified length but due to variances in measuring tools we cannot state our CNC measurement will match that of a tape measure. We state the tolerance to avoid issues. 
  • If you are building something with two exact runs, please specify your pairs in the check out notes, we will cut and surface these together. For example if you are building an OX you would specify : 2 qty 20x80 750mm length. These pairs would be cut and surfaced at the same time ensureing a straight build. 
  • If you select that you would like metal cut to length, please specify at check out the quantity, size, and length. 
  • Please add 1 day processing to cut - to - length orders.
  • The cut to length is one cut for one piece 
  • We will ship the remainder of your drop upon request. 
  • An example, if you need a 470mm 20 x 40 you would want to select the 20 x 40 x 500mm and cut to length.

    These items are great for diy builders. Building a low cost laser/3d/PCB printer. Cut to length order'g is simple and results are accurate.

    I know it seams silly writing a review on extruded aluminum., but it is about the the service . It arrived well packaged. Cut to the requested length, and the edges were cleaned up. I have ordered from SMW3D before and they always deliver as promised.
